Engraved frontispiece portrait of La Quintinie; etched double-page plan, "The Kings Kitchen Garden at Versailles"; eight engraved and etched vignettes at the beginning of each part; four woodcut text illustrations and three are engraved or etched; nine full page engraved and etched plates plus one double-page. Title-page printed in red and black. Contemporary Cambridge calf with blind stamped panels on covers; spine re-backed with original gilt leather; all edges speckled red. Spine height: 12 ¾ inches.
